SquashTV Purchase Squashlive
The Professional Squash Association (PSA) are pleased to announce that they have acquired, taking control of the site’s video archive to bring some of the greatest matches in squash history to SquashTV.
The work of pioneering squash filmmaker Jean DeLierre, squashlive's historic archive includes an impressive array of matches tracing back to the early 1990s and will be digitally remastered before being added to SquashTV later in 2014.
With an abundance of footage showcasing the likes of legendary Pakistan squash players Jahangir and Jansher Khan and historic encounters between Peter Nicol, Jonathan Power and the dominant forces of the 1990s, SquashTV fans will be able to re-live some of the finest displays and fiercest matches in recent history on the world’s premier squash resource.
“We are very pleased to add the squashlive archive to our already extensive and detailed collection of historic squash action,” said PSA COO Lee Beachill.
"For many years Jean and his team at squashlive pushed the boundaries in terms of how squash is filmed and his work was certainly the benchmark when SquashTV was launched.

"SquashTV is the number one place for squash fans to watch the sport live and on demand and this latest acquisition allows us to improve the historical side of the channel and ensure that fans of the sport can relive some of the greatest matches of all time.

"We will also be looking at making full HD copies of these matches available to purchase later in 2014 as we look to expand the SquashTV operation further."
Squashlive founder Jean DeLierre said: “To know that our archives of the game’s past and present stars will join others from SquashTV gives our team and I a great sense of pride.

"Knowing first hand how challenging producing squash events is financially and otherwise, I take this occasion to congratulate PSA leadership and its television crew on their great accomplishments over the last few years.

"I trust that their hard work will soon lead the PSA and its players to lucrative TV and sponsorship contracts, their success in that respect would become the best possible conclusion to our squashlive story.
"I sincerely hope that world’s squash community and its supporters will stand united behind the PSA by subscribing to their channel."
